Yes. Depending on the treatment:
For surgeries or extractions: Avoid eating 2–3 hours before your appointment if sedation is planned.


For routine cleanings or fillings: Brush and floss normally before the visit.


For patients on medication: Inform your dentist about any blood thinners, diabetes medicines, or heart conditions.

        

Follow the post-treatment care instructions given by your dentist carefully:
Avoid hot, spicy, or crunchy foods for 24 hours after extractions or fillings.


Rinse gently with warm salt water after 24 hours (not immediately).


Avoid smoking and alcohol for at least 48 hours post-surgery.


Take prescribed medication as directed.


Contact the clinic if you experience swelling, pain, or bleeding beyond expected levels.
